These Terms govern your use of the Wise Bear Investigations website and services. By creating an account or submitting a request, you agree to them.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old. Wise Bear Investigations is licensed in the State of Oregon and accepts matters within Oregon’s jurisdiction.
Our services
We provide professional investigative services, including surveillance, locates and skip tracing, background checks, custody-compliance support, and process serving. We do not provide legal advice, and we do not guarantee any particular outcome. Investigative work is conducted in compliance with applicable law.
Lawful use — your commitment
You affirm that you have a lawful, legitimate purpose for any investigation you request and that the information you provide is true. Our services may not be used to stalk, harass, intimidate, or harm any person, or for any unlawful purpose. We may decline or stop any engagement that we believe is unlawful or unethical.
Engagement & confidentiality
A request becomes an engagement only when we confirm it and agree on scope. We treat your matter as confidential, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Fees, retainers & refunds
Surveillance and similar work is typically billed against a retainer (a deposit drawn down as work is performed); other services may be billed as a flat or itemized fee. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Specific fees, retainer amounts, and refund terms are set out in your engagement and on each charge.
Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information and to have the right to share any evidence you upload. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wise Bear Investigations is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the relevant engagement.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon.
Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date.
